1. About the service
LinkTute is a marketplace that helps students find tutors and tutors find students. We are not a party to the arrangement between a student and a tutor and do not employ tutors. Fees for lessons are agreed directly between the student and the tutor.
2. Accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep your password confidential.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian manage the account.
- One person may hold one account per role. Accounts may not be sold or transferred.
3. Tutors
- Profiles, qualifications and documents must be genuine. Uploading forged documents leads to permanent removal.
- Tutors must behave professionally and respect students’ privacy and safety.
- We may hide or verify profiles at our discretion.
4. Students
- Requirements must describe a genuine learning need. Spam or advertising is not allowed.
- Do not include contact details in post descriptions; they are hidden automatically.
5. Coins and payments
- Coins are prepaid credits used to unlock posts and tutor profiles. Prices are shown before each purchase and unlock.
- Each unlock is charged once. Coins have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.
- Coins are generally non-refundable once spent. If a payment succeeded but coins were not credited, contact us and we will fix it.
- A payment gateway fee may be added at checkout and is displayed in the price breakdown.
6. Acceptable use
You may not harass other users, share illegal or offensive content, attempt to bypass the coin system, scrape the platform or interfere with its security.
7. Reviews
Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. We may hide reviews that are abusive, fake or unrelated.
8. Suspension
We may hide content or suspend accounts that break these terms. Blocked users lose access to their account and remaining coins.
9. Liability
We work hard to keep the platform safe but cannot guarantee the quality of lessons or the conduct of users. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before a claim.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are significant we will notify you. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
